High School Museum of Student Projects Display Roaring 20's & Great Depression 30's
VAHS' Mr. Larson gave students a few weeks to choose a topic of their choice from the 1920's and 1930's. Students covered everything from the 20's flapper dresses and fashion or dancing the Charleston, all the way to FDR's New Deal, minorities and women's suffrage, and even the sports and radio entertainment of the day. Students were able to incorporate new technology and IPad use into their displays, while also using cardboard displays to mix the century's worth of knowledge for their final project...personalized learning at it's best!

Freshman Lindsey Hollar was interested in fashion from the 20's.

Freshman Emma Ness took an interest in fashion (borrowing a friend's coat from back in the time) and teaching the Charleston dance of the 20's.
