The Verona Area School District Board of Education has assembled a school calendar committee for 2017-18 (not next year) comprised of parents and staff members. The committee has been given 5 areas to examine and study:
1. Late Start Mondays
2. Increasing time for staff professional development
3. Consideration of staff having a paid work day on the Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Holiday
4. Establishing a set week for Spring Break that remains the same every year; and
5. Developing a calendar that creates more time for parent/teacher planning time for purposes of development/review of students' personalized learning plans.

No decisions have been made by the Board nor recommendations generated by the committee. Instead, this survey is the first step to gather input from as many stakeholders as possible to help shape future conversations on the calendar (was also emailed to DISTRICT-WIDE FAMILIES AND STAFF). Please take a few minutes to help us by the deadline of April 18 at noon. Thank you for your input!
