Incoming 5-Year Old Kindergarten

Incoming 5-Year Old Kindergarten

Save the date! You are invited to attend an informational meeting about the VASD Kindergarten options. Please join us on Thursday, January 10, 2019, from 6:00-7:00pm, at the Badger Ridge Middle School gym, located at 740 N Main Street, Verona, WI 53593. School staff will be available to welcome you and answer your questions. On-site child care will be provided.

Children who are five years of age on or before September 1, 2019, are eligible to start Kindergarten the fall of 2019. In VASD 5-year old Kindergarten is a full-day program located at one of our four elementary schools: Country View Elementary, Glacier Edge Elementary, Stoner Prairie Elementary or Sugar Creek Elementary, based on attendance area boundaries.

VASD also provides families with charter and choice program options at Core Knowledge Charter School, New Century School, Verona Area International School (Mandarin immersion program), or the Two-Way Spanish Immersion (TWI) Program.

To be considered for a Charter/Choice program, you must submit an online application between January 10 and February 15, 2019. You must submit the online application for your incoming Kindergartner to be considered, even if you already have an older student enrolled in one of these programs.

Only one 2019-20 application request per VASD resident student may be submitted.
