The Board of Education has begun the process of developing a Strategic Plan to become the guiding document for priorities, budgeting and Continuous Improvement Team goals at each school.

We are anxious to share that a committee has been assembled consisting of family members, community members, staff, Board and students to take part in four upcoming meetings. Meetings will be held at the District central office from 6-8pm on the following dates: March 20, April 17, May 8, and May 29.

For those who shared interest in being on the team but were not randomly drawn for the list, or for anyone who desires to watch the process unveil, the four meetings are OPEN TO THE PUBLIC.

Data collection has already begun, assembling information that supports major themes the district might desire to address:

•There were additional questions on strategic plan-related topics added to the recent annual Perception Survey that each family and staff member received, as responses in this survey help the district set its goals not only for the Strategic Plan, but for your school’s Continuous Improvement Team.

•The District held a number of focus groups in late February, consisting of more than 120 students, staff, and family members that represented a cross section of our district.

•Internal data collection on a variety of district-related topics is being assembled for the new committee to review.

We are eager to meet with the committee and begin reviewing all the data, leading to a finished product that will offer the district a strategic plan for years to come!
