The Board of Education recently set the exciting goal to unveil a district Strategic Plan as the guiding document for priorities, budgeting and Continuous Improvement Team goals at each school.

To address this goal, the district put together a committee  consisting of 30 family members, community members, staff, Board and students to meet from now through early summer!

The committee spent its first meeting doing a deep data dive as the district provided massive information to help the committee determine major themes the district might desire to address.

In addition, the committee will be reviewing the following:

•Data from additional questions on strategic plan-related topics added to the recent annual Perception Survey that each family and staff member received. Responses in this survey help the district set its goals not only for the Strategic Plan, but for your school’s Continuous Improvement Team. Perception Survey data will be shared with staff and families soon!

•The District held a number of focus groups in late February, consisting of more than 120 students, staff, and family members that represented a cross section of our district.

•Internal data collection on a variety of district-related topics was assembled.

Meetings will be held at the District central office from 6-8pm on the following dates: March 20, April 17, May 8, and May 29. As a reminder, the meetings are OPEN TO THE PUBLIC.

We are eager for the upcoming meetings with the committee as we continue to review all the data, leading to a finished product that will offer the district a strategic plan for years to come!
