The Wisconsin Foundation for School Music and the Steinway Piano Bank will donate a piano on November 20 to a parent, who meets the eligibility requirements, in recognition of parents, community volunteers and National Parental Involvement Day.

As part of this give-away, ALLPARENTSONDECK is sponsoring “Making Music Together”, which is a night out for parents on Friday, Nov. 20 at Steinway of Madison (6629 Mineral Point Rd, Madison) from 6:30-8:30 pm. Guest speakers from Madison and Verona music schools will speak about the benefits of providing music education to students, throughout their academic journey.

The event will also feature piano styling by Michael Neumeyer and live
vocals by Mario Brown and Le Che Martin, who will debut the organization’s new theme song - “WE’RE GETTING INVOLVED”. Light refreshments will also be available.

Each year more than 9 million family members take part in volunteer
opportunities at 18,000 schools, across 50 states. The organization and its collaborators are dedicated to increasing the academic success of students, and encouraging more schools to express gratitude to parents throughout the 2015-2016 school year. Wisconsin schools have collectively recognized the commitment of parents and volunteers during National Parental Involvement Day, since 2012.
