VAHSAid to Hold FIRST Annual Read-a-Thon to Promote Quality Education

On Friday, December 29, 2017, VAHSAid, led by our very own high-schoolers, will be holding its 1st Annual Read-a-Thon to promote literacy and quality education and to raise awareness of the Sustainable Development Goals.

The Read-a-Thon will take place at the Verona Public Library from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm, with guest readers including State Representatives Jimmy Anderson and Sondy Pope, olympic speed skater Casey Fitzrandolph and local police, fire and government officials. Each will have reading slots of twenty minutes. In addition to reading, activities for kids will be set up. Age groups are invited to come at anytime or during their targeted time slot below:
10-11am: Ages 2-4
11-12pm: Ages 5-8
12-1pm: Ages 9-11
1-2pm: Ages 2-4
2-3pm: Ages 5-8
3-4pm: Ages 9-11

Throughout the day, donations of school supplies will also be encouraged to help students in need. JOIN THE FUN and support a great cause at the same time!
